Club History

Baulkham Hills Women’s Hockey Club (BHWHC) was established in 1969 .

The club has a strong history of involvement with Parramatta Women’s Hockey Association (PWHA), and more recently, strong competition standing in the Sydney Women’s Hockey League (SWHL).Tthis year Baulko also entered a team in the North Shore Comeptition. Baulko has produced many players that have gone on to represent at association and state level. 

In season 2009, We fielded 10 teams each week throughout the season.

We anticipate that we will be successful in nominating for the same compliment of teams in Season 2010. 

Baulko also has a number of umpires who represent our club at various levels. We strive to encourage and develop young umpires as we do players. 

BHWHC is supported by Baulkham Hills and Bankstown District Sports Clubs. The support we receive, particularly for our junior development, is vital to the club’s needs. We continue to hold our monthly committee meetings at Baulkham Hills Sports Club on the first Tuesday of the month from 7.30pm (all welcome). 

Since 2004, Baulko has nominated members for the Sports Clubs Sportsperson and Junior Sportsperson of the Year Awards. Our previous winners have been:

The award winners have been nominated by the executive and committee for outstanding commitment and achievement throughout the year. The executive welcome nominations for the 2010 Sportsperson of the year for any player that you believe deserves the accolades of this prestigious award. The annual presentation is held at an awards night at the Sports Club each year. 

Baulko also awards 10 perpetual trophies at the end of each season for the best in achievements and contribution throughout each year. Refer to the Awards Section below.
