Congrats to Tahlia Smith who was selected in the Sydney North CHS regional team and to Eliza Brazel, Erin Fuller and Keira Woods who made the Sydney West CHS regional team, and Chloe Da Costa selected in the South West regional team.


Congrats also to Loryn Topolski for being chosen to represent the Australian Country Championship for umpiring.

State League - Chloe Da Costa, Ginella Fernandes, Sonia Jones, Jaclyn McRae, Danielle Mitrevski, Laurel Muldoon, Parambir Sandhu, Genevieve Whitlam, Nicole Yeoman.


U18’s – Chloe Da Costa, Danielle Mitrevski, Lauren Moore, Emily Parker, Parambir Sandhu, Shannon Smith, Jess Van Hoek, Katie Van Hoek, Keira Woods.


The U/18's side played at the Half State Championships in Lismore in early May and were undefeated until the last round. Congratulations girls!

 TRAINING OFF

There will be no training for seniors grass on Wednesday 12 April or turf on Thursday 13 April 2006 as there are no games over the Easter weekend. Enjoy your week off, but remember to go for a run and do some skills work yourselves!

Schoolgirls grass WILL be training this week, however there will be no training NEXT week during the school holidays.


 
   
 

 CANTEEN DUTY PWHA
 Monday 10 April 2006

 


Each club is required to contribute to the canteen roster. Baulko is down for Round 3 - 29 April 2006. We will be calling for volunteers from each team to do shifts throughout the day.

Clubs will need to be on duty from the commencement of the games i.e. 9am until the conclusion of the games i.e. 4.45pm.


For the duration of the schoolgirls competition (9am –12.10pm), clubs are requested to provide 3 volunteers (over 14 years of age). For the Senior Competition (12.30pm-4.45pm), clubs are requested to provide 2 volunteers.

 EASTER SHOW PARKING - HOCKEY CENTRE HOMEBUSH

Parking - Royal Easter Show
The Royal Easter Show is on from 7 April to 20 April. During this time Hockey clients may park in P7. Please note that the Sports Centre has a number of events booked in so parking will be shared with Sports Centre clients.
Any vehicles entering P4 Car Park during the Royal Easter Show period will need to take a ticket to enter and will then be required to pay the hourly rate indicated at the entry.

 Round 1 results + Club Social Day

Round 1 in the turf compeitions saw Baulko come away with a clean slate. ML1, ML2, ML4 and ML6 all finished with solid wins, and the North Shore team secured another well fought draw. Congrats to all! Match reports are available via the link, for those games not yet written up, please submit your reports as soon as possible!!


Come and join us this Sunday 9th April at Homebush for a hockey fiesta and club social event. ML2 will play at midday, followed by drinks and a Swans match on the big screen at the brewery (opposite Olympic Park station), ML6 play at 4.30pm and ML1 will finish the day up with a 6.00pm match against KSC. Come and support your fellow teammates!!

 

 
   
 

 Vets Trials

PWHA has 4 teams in the Veteran’s Competition in 2006. Trials will be held over 2 Sunday’s:

TIME:           8.30am for 9-11am 

Sunday, 26th Feb 2006 (Div 1 & 2 only) This is a bi-weekly Wednesday night comp.

Players selected are not required on 5th March. Players not selected may be required to also attend on 5th March              

Sunday, 5th March 2006 (Div 3 & 4 only) This is a weekly Monday night comp.

PLACE:         Pitch 2, State Hockey Centre

Please be advised that Representative teams for PWHA will be selected from this trial and to be eligible you must have turned 35 years old in 2005 or prior.

If you wish to be considered for a team but are unable to attend you must submit a letter/email to the Secretary prior to the selection date to be considered. ie.  State Indoor Selections
 Wednesday 18 January 2006

 


Hockey NSW is encouraging players to nominate for selction in the Indoor Open and Under 21 Teams for both Men & Women.


There is a nomination fee of $20.00 and forms can be downloaded here or from the hockey NSW website www.hockeynsw.com.au.


Selection trials for the NSW Open and Under 21 teams have been organised for Sunday 18 February 2006 at the Illawarra Indoor Centre, Waples Road, Unanderra from 9.00am to 4.00pm.


The Hockey Australia Indoor National Championships will be held between the 11th and 16th December 2006 in Canberra.


Nomination forms must be returned to Hockey NSW by February 17th 2006.
