BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

 

Baulkham Hills Women’s Hockey turns 40 this year and so it is time to celebrate and we would love everyone to join in.

 

So we don’t have 2 functions close together we have decided to combine the party celebrations with the Senior’s presentation night. We know how much the younger players dislike listening to all the boring speeches so we are planning a fun presentation day for the juniors, perhaps up at Pennant Hills turf on a Saturday afternoon with a good old sausage sizzle.

 

At this stage we are just asking for an idea of the number of players (and their partners) who would be interested in attending the 40th/presentation night.

 

It will be held at the Bankstown Sports Club (our parent club) in October (exact date TBC).

 

The cost will be $40 a head for a 3 course meal.

 

If you know of any of our past players, coaches, supporters who would be interested in attending please let them know.

 

It should be a great night, so get a table together and come along and support the hockey club!

GET A MOUTHGUARD

and RAISE SPONSORSHIP FOR

YOUR CLUB

This initiative was stimulated by my concerns about the number of young people participating in sports without adequate protection for their teeth.

As a dentist, I am aware of the irreversible damage to teeth that often occurs during sports. It is well known that only a custom-fitted mouthguard can provide the necessary protection.

At the same time as you are getting excellent protection for your teeth, your club will be raising valuable funds.

‘STORE-BOUGHT’ mouthguards should be

AVOIDED!

They DO NOT provide adequate protection!

They also impair performance as the players often have to clench their teeth to hold the mouthguard in place and this

HOW THE OFFER WORKS

* For players who have health fund benefits, we will claim the health fund rebate directly through HICAPS and accept this as full payment.  This means that there will be no cost to the player.

For players who are not covered by a health fund, there will be a substantially discounted fee of $98.

  • Call for an appointment to come to our practice to have an impression taken.

  • Proof of membership of a participating club e.g. registration receipt, will be required.

  • Approximately one week after the impression is taken, you will return to have your custom mouthguard fitted.

  • For every player who takes up the offer we will make a donation of $5 to your club.
